We are looking for a full time dockworker with cross dock experience in a trucking company to cover day shift; must be experienced in shipping and receiving, and has a valid forklift ticket.
Our Offer
- 40 hours every week
- Get paid $17/hr-$19/hr (based on experience)
- Saturdays off with one more day off in week
- Working through Sunday – Thursday, 2pm-10pm
- Proper training will be provided
Weekly pay, Full benefits, LTD, Group Life, and RRSP matching
Responsibilities will include:
- Accurately scan, sort and stage freight for delivery runs
- Cube and label freight
- Record apparent overages, shortages, and damages to freight
- Maintain safe working procedures and environment
- Securely build and shrink-wrap skids
- Load and unload trailers
- Meet cut off times
- Prepare paperwork and trailers for loads to depart
- Any additional duties as required
Preferred Qualifications:
- Minimum one year of cross dock/warehouse experience with a trucking company
- Physically fit and able to lift 40 lbs. as required
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment
- Forklift experience is must
- Valid driver’s license
